Equilibrium is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for its Tailings & Mine Waste team. You will manage geotechnical investigations, designs and analyses for tailings facilities and waste rock structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

You will mentor junior staff, drive technical excellence, and contribute to business development while traveling to mine sites as needed. A P.Eng. or equivalent and 7–10 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience in mining, engineering consulting or mine waste.
• Experience in geotechnical design/evaluation of tailings dams and waste rock spoils.
• Dam Safety experience considered an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication and project coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to mine sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Deliver geotechnical investigations, assessments and designs for tailings and mine waste facilities.
• Perform analyses, interpret field/monitoring data, develop geotechnical models and provide engineering recommendations.
• Plan and coordinate investigations, inspections and construction support with safety leadership.
• Prepare/review engineering reports, calculations and technical documentation.
• Serve as client liaison, communicate project status and contribute to planning/budgets.
• Mentor engineers/technicians and contribute to technical development.
