Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno (NBMG) seeks a Program Manager, Geologic Mapping to lead the production of geologic map publications and digital datasets for statewide resource assessments. You will guide external grant funding efforts, act as PI on grants, and supervise mapping teams during yearly cycles.

The role requires experience in geologic mapping of bedrock/Quaternary deposits, plus project management within an academic setting.

Qualifications

• Geology or related geoscience field.
• Experience in geologic mapping of bedrock and/or Quaternary deposits.
• Grant proposals and project administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of NBMG geologic map publications and digital datasets.
• Lead grant funding initiatives (e.g., USGS STATEMAP) and manage budgets.
• Supervise a mapping team and contractors; coordinate with stakeholders and committees.
