Job summary

Amentum seeks a Generator Technician to maintain and operate a range of generators across multiple OCONUS locations, contingent on award. The role requires troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, and controls, and supervising junior technicians while coordinating with contracted services.

Candidates should have eight years of generator maintenance experience, including leadership, and be prepared for on-call shifts. A SECRET clearance is required at start, with TS possible within eight months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum eight years in generator maintenance with at least three years in lead/supervisory role.
• Proficient in troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using technical docs.
• Experience with high-amperage and high-voltage generator operations.
• Ability to collaborate with contracted maintenance services and lead a team.
• Leadership skills and flexibility for on-call, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Must obtain SECRET clearance at contract start and TS clearance within eight months.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair generator engines, fuel systems, and controls.
• Operate megawatt-rated high-amperage/high-voltage generators.
• Provide guidance and supervision to team members, ensuring safety and standards.
• Coordinate with contracted maintenance to ensure service quality.
• Work on-call and during nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
