Job summary

KBR seeks a Generator Technician for an OCONUS assignment, 100% onsite, to install, maintain, and troubleshoot generator systems ensuring power readiness for critical missions.

Applicants should have a SECRET clearance with upgrade potential to TS/SCI w/ Poly, 8+ years in generator work (3+ in lead roles), and a high school diploma or equivalent. On-call rotations and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ Poly.
• Eight+ years of professional Generator experience, three of which are in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specifications.
• Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship (or trade school).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintain and operate megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
• Monitor contracted maintenance services.
• Provide guidance and oversight for personnel under supervision.
• Work on-call, rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure safety compliance during operations and incidents.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams during power outages or emergencies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve generator performance.
• Respond promptly to generator failures on-site to restore power.
