Job summary

Columbia NW Heating is seeking a part-time Customer Engagement Representative to represent us inside Home Depot locations in Beaverton or Portland (Mall 205). You’ll speak with homeowners, share basic information about our HVAC services, and help schedule free in-home estimates using a mobile app.

No door-to-door sales; you will not close sales. This role emphasizes conversation, support, and getting customers connected with our HVAC team for estimates.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to strangers.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, fundraising, or sales is a plus.
• HVAC experience not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage Home Depot shoppers in a friendly, approachable way.
• Start conversations about heating and cooling needs.
• Provide basic information about HVAC services.
• Schedule free in‑home estimates using our mobile app.
• Hand out information and promotional materials.
• Represent Columbia NW Heating professionally and positively.
• Work toward appointment goals while ensuring a great customer experience.

Wednesday–Saturday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
25–30 hours per week

$21–$24/hour DOE + Monthly Appointment Bonuses

Most team members earn an additional $200–$800 per month in appointment bonuses!

You’ll talk with homeowners who are shopping at Home Depot, answer basic questions about heating and cooling, and help interested customers schedule a free in‑home estimate with one of our HVAC professionals.

There are no cold calls, no door‑to‑door sales, and no sitting behind a desk all day.

What You'll Do

You DON'T Need to Be a Salesperson

This isn't a traditional sales job.

You're not responsible for closing the sale, providing quotes, or convincing customers to purchase anything. Your job is to have a conversation, identify homeowners who may be interested in learning more, and connect them with our HVAC team.
