Requirements include Ohio and Kentucky Bar admissions, 5+ years of general liability litigation, lead attorney/first chair experience, and strong deposition, motion practice, and trial skills. JD required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky.
• 5+ years of litigation experience in general liability defense.
• Experience serving as lead attorney or first chair on cases.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and trial skills.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first chair counsel on general liability defense cases.
• Manage a full caseload from intake through trial.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate exposure, and provide client guidance.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with internal team members including attorneys, nurse consultants, and support staff.
