Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is recruiting a Staff AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable Generative AI solutions across the enterprise. You will work across AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI, architecting data pipelines, vector search, and agentic frameworks while ensuring HIPAA compliance and security.

The role blends hands-on engineering with platform leadership and cross-functional collaboration, reporting to the AI & Cloud Engineering team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design experience.
• 5+ years building large-scale microservices/APIs using Node.js.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, AI/ML).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Agentic AI and RAG architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operationalize scalable Generative AI solutions across the CVS Health affiliate line of business.
• Lead data pipelines, feature engineering, and model training for healthcare use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, IT and compliance to align with business objectives.
• Define metrics, implement validation and monitoring for model performance and safety.
• Mentor engineers and contribute reusable patterns and accelerators.
