Job summary

NiSource Inc. is hiring for a Street Service role in Ohio. Primary duties include locating gas distribution facilities and performing Street Service tasks in accordance with policy and approved codes.

The position may involve leading one or more coworkers in pinpointing leaks, conducting repairs, and replacing services or mains as required. The successful candidate will have 2 years of fitter experience, a valid Ohio CDL, and the ability to work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience as Fitter or equivalent.
• Must be able to use various types of tools needed for repairs of plant facilities.
• Must possess a valid Ohio commercial driver's license (CDL) and certification to operate company trucks under DOT/Ohio Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for intra-state drivers.
• Must be able to prepare legible records and understand written and oral communications.
• Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Job requires working in all weather conditions.
• This position is subject to DOT Anti-Drug Plan and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations.
• Due to the nature of our business and your emergency response obligations, the successful candidate must live within25 miles and 30 minutesfrom the Operations Center
