Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Lead Service Technician to oversee maintenance and service of compression equipment across multiple sites. You will work with the Area Service Manager with autonomy, developing Field Service Technicians and resolving complex faults.

You will travel extensively, perform startups, major maintenance, and high-end troubleshooting while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Technical or trade school certification, college degree or additional work experience in related field.
At least 7 years of experience in gas compression with preference to CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins.
CAT Gas Engine II, Troubleshooting, Electronics certifications; CAT 3500, 3600, ADEM 3 and ADEM 4, Ariel Mechanics 1 and 2, Murphy panel a plus.

Responsibilities

Involved in start-ups, major maintenance, significant failures, overhauls, and high-end troubleshooting and advanced diagnostic repair skills on wide variety of equipment.
Lead by example and mentor Field Service Technicians in technical skill and development.
Ensure USAC maintains run time of natural gas compression units per contractual agreements.
Respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries and communicate with ASM.
Partner with the ASM to ensure smooth Area operation and safety.
Maintain and operate company vehicle per guidelines.
Identify new sales, customer or equipment opportunities with the sales team.
Coordinate parts inventory with the warehouse to support units.
Ensure area units are clean and safe to operate.
Assist in recruiting new FSTs and developing staff.
