Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Lead Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair of natural gas compression equipment across multiple sites. The role requires strong technical skills, ability to mentor Field Service Technicians, and independent, safety-focused work habits.

Responsibilities include start-ups, major maintenance, and high-end troubleshooting, with extensive travel (up to 90%). A valid driver's license and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification or college degree.
• 7+ years' experience in gas compression; CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins preferred.
• CAT/Gas Engine II, Troubleshooting, Electronics certifications; CAT 3500/3600; ADEM 3/4; Ariel Mechanics 1/2; Murphy panel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Field Service Technicians and mentor them.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and high-end diagnostic repairs.
• Ensure run time of units per contracts and respond to customer inquiries.
• Work with ASM and sales to identify service and equipment opportunities.
• Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a clean area.
• Travel up to 90% and work extended hours including weekends.
