Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP seeks a Lead Service Technician in Midland, TX to maintain and service natural gas compression equipment. You will work with the Area Service Manager with considerable autonomy, lead Field Service Technicians, and handle startup, major maintenance, and complexTroubleshooting tasks.

You will build customer relationships, ensure safety, and support sales opportunities while driving efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification; college degree or related work experience.
• At least 4 years of gas compression experience, with CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins preferred.
• CAT Gas Engine II and related troubleshooting certifications; ADEM 3/4; Ariel mechanics.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Strong communication, safety, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; leadership experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-ups, major maintenance, overhauls and high-end diagnostic repairs.
• Serve as SME for Field Service Technicians and mentor their development.
• Maintain unit run time per contractual commitments and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with ASM to ensure efficient Area operations.
• Operate company vehicle safely and manage parts inventory with the warehouse.
• Identify new sales, customer, or equipment opportunities with the sales team.
• Uphold safety and housekeeping standards, and support recruitment efforts.
