Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Lead Service Technician to oversee maintenance and service of compression equipment, develop Field Service Technicians, and provide expert troubleshooting with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification, college degree or related field experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience in gas compression; preference for CAT, Ariel and Cummins.
• CAT Gas Engine II, Troubleshooting, Electronics certifications; CAT 3500/3600, ADEM 3/4, Ariel Mechanics 1/2, Murphy panel a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with MVR acceptable to USA Compression.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently; prior management experience is a plus.
• High degree of mechanical ability including electrical and gas compression.
• Ability to teach and communicate technical and soft skills to FSTs.
• Experience reading technical manuals; knowledge of HSE procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work extended hours.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and mentor Field Service Technicians.
• Perform maintenance, startup, major maintenance, and troubleshooting of compressor equipment.
• Ensure run time per contractual agreements.
• Communicate with customers and ASM; support area operations.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and travel with service vehicle.
• Assist in supervisory duties when needed.
• Follow company safety, policies and procedures.
