Job summary

USA Compression Partners is seeking a Lead Service Technician to maintain and service natural gas compression equipment across customer sites. You will lead Field Service Technicians, mentor their development, and ensure equipment run-times meet contractual goals.

Role requires extensive travel (up to 90%), ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong safety culture. A technical/educational background and CAT/Ariel/Cummins certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school cert, college degree or related experience.
• Minimum 7 years in gas compression, CAT/Ariel/Cummins preferred.
• CAT II, Ariel and relevant certifications; able to read manuals.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to supervise others when needed.
• Willing to travel extensively and work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service equipment with autonomy and safety.
• Lead Field Service Technicians and mentor their skills.
• Ensure run time targets per contracts and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate with ASM for smooth area operations.
• Operate company vehicle safely and manage parts inventory.
• Assist in recruiting and training new FSTs.
• Follow safety/environment policies and perform other duties as assigned.
