Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Lead Assembly Technician to oversee technician teams assembling SPARC components, coordinating workflows, lifts, and quality checks. You will work closely with engineers, metrology, and QA to ensure high-quality integration of large assemblies and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in a highly technical assembly role across relevant industries.
• Experience overseeing a team of five or more and coordinating multiple work streams.
• Ability to assist lifting operations and manage safety-critical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day assembly operations and coordinate technician teams to meet the schedule.
• Review work orders across mechanical, welding, electrical, and lifting tasks.
• Participate in major on-site operations and inspect completed work for conformance.
• Provide daily status updates and assign tasks to teams per priorities.
• Collaborate with engineers, metrology, QA, and external teams to resolve issues.
• Lead shift kick-off and safety briefings and document non-conformance issues.
