Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Lead Assembly Technician for the SPARC project on the 2nd shift. You will oversee technicians, coordinate daily assembly tasks, and ensure safe, high-quality completion of large-scale components such as coils and vacuum vessels.
The role requires 7+ years in technical assembly, 2–3 years leading teams, and experience with lifting operations and joining methods. 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift with $32–$52/hr plus 10% shift differential.

As a Lead Technician on the Assembly Team at CFS, you will oversee and organize small technician teams to conduct all assembly activities to construct the SPARC Tokamak. This includes handling, alignment, and mechanical integration of large electromagnetic coils, vacuum vessels, instrumentation systems, support structures, tooling and manipulation equipment, diagnostic systems, and superconducting cable bundles into a tightly integrated central device. You will use extensive experience building and handling large equipment, structures, or plant systems to facilitate efficient, high-quality completion of SPARC. You will organize day-to-day work orders per schedule, assign technicians, provide shift briefs and hand-offs, and guide all activity in the assembly work areas. You will collaborate with engineers, metrology, quality, and other team members to ensure correct and precise completion of components and to identify and resolve issues during the build process.
2ND shift - Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (hours subject to slight adjustment of one to two hours). Rate of pay: $32 - $52 per hour + 10% differential.
