Job summary

Wayve is seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to lead functional safety for its ADS and integration into vehicle platforms. You will work with internal and external teams to understand systems, build safety concepts, and define test specifications and safety cases.

Candidates should have 5+ years applying ISO 26262 across various automotive systems, plus hands-on vehicle testing experience to verify safety concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applying ISO 26262 across automotive systems, parts 3-9.
• Experience conducting vehicle level testing to verify the safety concept.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional safety activities for Wayve's ADS and safety-critical integrations.
• Build Item Definition work products, perform HARAs/FMEAs/FTAs and develop a safety concept.
• Define system architecture to meet safety concept and derive requirements.
• Support SW teams in implementing safety requirements on target HW.
• Define test specs and construct the Safety case with evidence.
• Develop safety work products for production projects and update processes with compliance teams.
