Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Minnesota is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive hands-on technical leadership across our CoCounsel Application Experience, delivering full-stack features in React, TypeScript, and Python.

You will set technical standards, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and help shape APIs while advancing AI-powered capabilities like LLM integrations and agentic workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on coding in the last 2–3 years.
• Experience with frontend React and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs in Python and Node.js.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and MCP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Set code quality, performance, testing, and maintainability standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Provide accurate estimates and drive delivery from development to production.
