Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems installed in electric lift trucks at a Montgomery, AL site. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.

You will carry out field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades, report breakdown events, and manage parts ordering. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, plus safety and communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with electrical coursework.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and evaluate fleet performance at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service as needed.
• Complete incident reports, service logs and site documentation.
• Adhere to safety procedures and travel as required.
• Represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.
