Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician for Mobile, AL to perform maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites. The role involves diagnostics, troubleshooting, and executing field retrofits, with on-call support and parts procurement as needed.

Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma with electrical coursework, 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a specific location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
• Travel as required for business needs; represent Plug Power professionally.
