Job summary

Viatris seeks a Senior Formulation Scientist to provide technical support for tech transfer and develop scalable formulations for new and existing products. You will review protocols, track progress, and prepare regulatory documents while ensuring cGMP and safety standards are met.

The role requires a strong foundation in solid oral dosage form development, process optimization and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing and development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 2–4 years of experience; higher degrees with more experience are preferred.
• Experience with generic drug development is desirable.
• Strong understanding of solid oral dosage form development, process optimization, and scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of tech transfer activities for existing products.
• Review proposals, timelines, protocols, manufacturing documents, test results and reports.
• Track project progress and provide timely updates to key stakeholders.
• Manufacture experimental batches and support tech transfer qualification batches.
• Troubleshoot problems during tech transfer activities.
• Prepare and review technical regulatory documents for tech transfer submissions.
• Design formulations and processes for new products and support development, optimization and scale-up.
• Keep current with cGMP, SOPs, FDA regulations and safety.
• Attend training to maintain and increase skills and knowledge.
