Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Scientist I in Biologics Drug Product Development to lead formulation and process development and to support scale‑up and technology transfer.

You will collaborate with discovery research, analytical development, bioprocess, and external manufacturers to advance biologics programs and ensure robust product presentation.

Candidates should have a relevant degree and substantial industry experience in biologics formulation and characterization.

Qualifications

• Experience with biologics formulation development.
• Analytical and biophysical characterization of proteins.
• Understanding of biologics degradation and stabilization.
• DoE and multivariate analyses experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of biologics formulation and process development.
• Support scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
• Stay abreast of advances in biologics formulation technologies.
• Drive initiatives to enhance capabilities and processes.
• Represent Bio DPD in cross-functional teams.
