Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is recruiting for a Supervising Clinician within Regional Forensic Services at the Franklin S. DuBois Center in Stamford, CT.

This role provides clinical and administrative leadership for key forensic programs, supporting individuals involved with the criminal justice system and strengthening partnerships with courts, community providers, and justice agencies.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional health care experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been at a lead level coordinating the work of a unit or team of professionals in a psychiatric setting.
• For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Advanced Clinical Social Worker, Head Nurse, Advanced Professional Counselor or Advanced Marital and Family Therapist.
• College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
• A Master's Degree in a health care field related to one of the disciplines in the Special Experience may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of behavioral health professionals providing forensic outpatient services.
• Provide clinical and administrative oversight to ensure recovery‑oriented care.
• Collaborate with courts, community providers, and internal DMHAS programs.
