Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) seeks a Clinical Psychologist to join Whiting Forensic Hospital in Middletown. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment for forensic patients with complex behavioral needs and serious mental illness.

Responsibilities include individual and group psychotherapy, specialized psychological assessments, and development of behavioral interventions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology required; one year post-doctoral experience in psychology
• Must possess and retain a license to practice psychology in Connecticut; eligibility for federal health care programs may be required
• Fluency in a foreign language or American Sign Language may be required; travel may be required
