Job summary

The Forensic Clinical Specialist position at Community Renewal Team, Inc. in Hartford, CT, provides forensic assessment and treatment within the Clinical Services department, utilizing individual, family and group therapy while coordinating with the Lead Clinician and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in behavioral health (social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or alcohol and drug counseling).
• 4 years of experience in behavioral health setting.
• Active licensure/licensure eligibility: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPCA or LADC with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and completion of mandatory trainings.
• Performs assessments, develops SMART goals, and tracks progress.
• Delivers individual, family and group therapy using evidence-based methods.
• Coordinates with other providers and refers to community resources.
• Responds to crises, ensures timely documentation and court reports.
• Represents CRT at community meetings and promotes services.
