Job summary

Guild is hiring a Lead Forecast Modeling Analyst to scale our Forecasting and Financial Analytics team. You will own and improve critical components of our forecasting model within a modular system and experimentation framework to drive improvements in predicting clients' education benefit outcomes.

You will lead development of usage-based forecasting models, raise forecast accuracy, and mentor junior teammates while collaborating across Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics, data science, forecasting, or financial planning & analysis.
• Strong SQL experience and ability to transform large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R with time-series & forecasting knowledge.
• Experience operationalizing models (backtesting, validation, monitoring, drift detection, retraining).
• Experience with Databricks and experiment tracking (MLflow).
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Omni, or similar BI tools.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code).
• Ability to translate forecasts and uncertainty into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve usage-based forecasting models for clients' education benefit with Guild.
• Improve forecast accuracy and shorten monthly refresh cycles; build tooling to catch model issues.
• Move modelling logic into well-structured, tested code with robust documentation.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and Tech teams to improve data, systems and infrastructure.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
• Produce insights and recommendations to help stakeholders understand forecast drivers and business impact.
