State of Delaware is seeking a supervisory food service worker for the Delaware Veterans Home to oversee dining operations and ensure high-quality meals for veterans. You will lead staff, ensure sanitation standards, and coordinate with cooks to deliver meals on schedule.

The role emphasizes teamwork, respect, and adherence to regulations while providing compassionate service in a community-focused environment.

Formación

• Three years' experience in institutional or commercial food service work.
• Six months' experience in proper safety, storage and sanitation standards for food items.
• Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through coursework, training, or supervising others.

Responsabilidades

• Performs food service work using proper preparation, handling and sanitation methods.
• Sets up serving line with utensils, food and supplies for serving.
• Prepares meal trays with correct portions from serving pots or pans.
• Loads and delivers meal trays to the proper location and returns carts to the kitchen.
• Assists cooks by opening cans, slicing and preparing foods and beverages.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces, floors, and equipment; maintains clean serving areas.
• Performs all phases of the dishwashing process.
• Maintains records using automated systems and software as needed.
• Completes required training and communicates across diverse groups.
