Qualifications

• Six months experience in institutional or commercial cooking and baking.
• Knowledge of proper safety, storage and sanitation standards for food items.

Responsibilities

• Applies food preparation practices, including handling, storage and temperature control to meet safety standards.
• Complies with applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
• Operates ovens, slicers, fryers, mixers, and blenders in a commercial kitchen.
• Prepares and cooks a variety of food items by baking, frying, and broiling according to standard menus and recipes.
• May prepare requisitions for food items and other needed supplies.
• Attends Department approved training programs.
