Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is hiring a full-time Food Service Supervisor to lead a team in a correctional kitchen, coordinate daily operations with a supervising manager, and train inmates in production procedures while maintaining safety and quality across all meal services.

The role requires supervision in a correctional facility, shifts including some nights/weekends, and adherence to sanitation and safety standards. Compensation starts at $17+ per hour with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (Production sheets and recipes).
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production to meet safety/quality standards per policies and department requirements.
• Ensure food items are stored safely and in an organized, hazard-free environment.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure items served per menu specifications per Aramark policies.
• Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
• Maintain inventory on a weekly basis.
• May prepare orders as needed for location production.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
