Job summary

Aramark Corporation seeks a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a kitchen, train staff, and coordinate work to meet production plans. The role enforces sanitation, safety, and Aramark standards within a correctional facility. Candidates must pass a background check and be comfortable working in this environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional setting.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production guidelines according to Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Direct inmates in use of recipes and proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies and keep storage areas locked.
