Job summary

Medco Enterprises, Inc. in the Bronx is seeking a seasoned Food Service Director to lead the dietary department and ensure the highest standard of meals for residents in a long-term care setting.

You will oversee menu planning, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with clinical teams to meet special dietary needs, while managing budget and inventory with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in dietary management, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent credential preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of dietary regulations and food safety standards.
• Experience with budget management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the dietary department.
• Develop and implement menus that align with nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations.
