Lead Floor Pharmacy Technician (Healthcare)

Role Overview

The Lead Pharmacy Technician will have a strong attention to detail and be an effective communicator. A team player, eager to assist where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and the needs of customers.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions
2. Supervise Floor Technicians to ensure productivity standards are met
3. Allocate staffing resources based on current workflow
4. Maintain floor stock, restock, and remove expired medications promptly
5. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
6. Rotate stock of medication areas to ensure quality control
7. Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
8. Package, fill, and ship medications
9. Prepare compound & IV medications
10. Maintain pharmacy standards and adherence to policies
11. Comply with departmental policies on safety, attendance, and dress code
12. Complete any other tasks assigned by the Pharmacist In Charge

Qualifications

• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Previous data entry experience preferred
• Must be reliable and capable of executing multiple tasks
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to perform light physical lifting

Shifts

8:00 am - 6:30 pm, including weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) with a flexible weekday schedule, two weekdays with flexible hours to be arranged.
