SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.

The Lead Pharmacy Technician will have strong attention to detail and be an effective communicator. A team player, eager to collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions
2. Supervise Floor Technicians to ensure productivity standards are met
3. Allocate staffing resources based on workflow
4. Maintain floor stock, restock, and remove expired medications promptly
5. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
6. Rotate stock of medication areas to ensure quality control
7. Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
8. Package, fill, and ship medications
9. Prepare compounded & IV medications
10. Ensure pharmacy standards and policies are maintained and adhered to
11. Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies
12. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist In Charge

Qualifications

• Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Previous data entry experience preferred
• Reliable with the ability to execute multiple tasks
• Good organizational skills and detail orientation
• Ability to perform light physical lifting

Schedule

Shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, including Saturdays and Sundays, with flexible weekday hours.
