Field Service Technician Lead

CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Field Service Technician (FST), Lead to join our team supporting our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the training and employment of SCITES 2 contract Field Service Technicians operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations, while improving processes and technology solutions. The FST Lead will ensure SCITES 2 technology implementations and staffing are aligned with USSOUTHCOM Objectives, playing a crucial role in the implementation of Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) technology capabilities across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provides installation of C5IM systems/sub-systems and supporting systems; performs technical services for operations and maintenance; integrates Audio/Visual equipment; installs cables including Cat 6, fiber optic, control cable, IPTV, and speaker wire for Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) services.
  2. Tests components to ensure cables and equipment meet specifications.
  3. Troubleshoots and determines system performance issues, providing solutions.
  4. Supports the removal and proper disposal of obsolete systems and equipment, adhering to procedures.
  5. Supports technical solutions implementation, installs interfaces, and ensures device operation.
  6. Manages installation, integration, testing, and management of systems supporting DAO personnel.
  7. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
  8. Plans and leads major technology projects.
  9. Functions as a technical expert across multiple projects.
  10. May supervise team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience in IT Systems and Networks Maintenance and Repair.
  • DoD 8140 Intermediate or equivalent industry certification (SEC+, CCNA, CASP, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in large, distributed IT enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting DoD in the field.
  • Experience with installation, repair, and testing of technology systems in remote areas.
  • Experience with FOC and copper cable repair.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.

Pay Range: The salary range for this position is $47,100 - $96,500, influenced by various factors including location, experience, and certifications.
