Qualifications

  • Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required with previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions and supervise Floor Technicians.
  • Maintain floor stock and ensure compliance with pharmacy standards.
  • Prepare and package medications while adhering to safety policies.

Job description

Our Company

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

The Lead Pharmacy Technician will have strong attention to detail and is an effective communicator. A team player, eager to jump in where needed and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy and needs of customers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions
  • Supervise Floor Technicians to ensure productivity standards are met
  • Allocate staffing resources based on current workflow
  • Maintain floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
  • Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls
  • Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
  • Package fill and ship medications
  • Prepare compound & IV medication
  • Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Complete any other task assigned by the Pharmacist In Charge
Qualifications
  • Licensed FL Pharmacy Technician required
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred
  • Previous data entry experience preferred
  • Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to physically perform light lifting
Shifts
  • 8:00am - 6:30pm, Saturdays & Sundays with flexible weekday schedule, two weekdays with flexible hours to be arranged.
