Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in New York is seeking a Lead, Converting on the 2nd shift to operate a flexographic press and support manufacturing quality. You will perform make-ready, calibrate setups, and maintain a clean, safe work area while collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, maintaining quality, and assisting with other printing processes. Must read safety rules and use basic math; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a flexographic press.
• Work under minimum supervision.
• Conduct make ready by installing rollers, plates, inks, and dies; adjust for print quality.
• Clean, lubricate and perform minor maintenance to maintain quality.
• Notify supervision of repairs or replacement parts needed.
• Deliver finished material to proper areas and ensure equipment safety.
• Assist with other printing processes and training of team members.
• Adhere to documents, specifications and LEAN principles.
