Job summary

Resource Label Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Flexo Press Lead to coordinate pressroom and warehouse activities, ensuring quality and safety on shift. This role includes training and opportunities to advance in the printing industry, with unlimited growth potential.

Pay rate ranges from $21.50 to $29.00 per hour, plus $1.00 shift differential and $2.00 lead pay. Schedule: 2nd shift, Mon-Thu, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of lead/supervisory experience in a Flexo pressroom.
• Knowledge of overall production processes.
• Knowledge of pressroom and warehouse procedures, equipment, processes, maintenance, and ability to manage all operations on shift.
• Knowledge of process capability, color theory, scheduling, safety, and quality procedures.
• At least 1 year of narrow-web Flexo printing experience required.
• Flexo press, narrow-web printing, flexible packaging, screen printing, and/or label printing/packaging experience, preferred.
• Multi-color printing experience.
• Experience with color matching, die cutting, plate mounting, and conducting changeovers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Knowledge of industrial and mechanical engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift by guiding pressroom and warehouse staff and communicating information to ensure understanding of critical issues.
• Enforce safety policies and standards.
• Ensure production quality adheres to company guidelines.
• Coordinate daily schedule with Pressroom Manager, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Press Assistants.
• Review job tickets to ensure ink, anilox, and press configuration are documented and accurate.
• Operate press as needed (load dies, install cylinders, mix ink, maintain ink pans, adjust speed, sample and inspect).
• Demonstrate leadership, be a team player, and handle concerns tactfully.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Perform other duties as requested.
