Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the complete maintenance of the assigned vehicle fleet, including preventive maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and servicing. You will schedule maintenance personnel and coordinate work activities to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires planning preventative maintenance schedules, evaluating staff, arranging training on new technologies, and resolving labor-relations issues in line with contracts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics.
• Five years mechanic experience with HD diesel repair.
• Knowledge of advanced mechanical, electrical and electronic theory preferred.
• One year supervisory experience in mechanics/technicians.
• CDL and DOT card prior to start date; clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Directly supervises maintenance of assigned vehicle fleet including preventive and unscheduled repairs.
• Schedules maintenance personnel and coordinates work activities.
• Plans preventive maintenance schedule and monitors tasks for safety and reliability.
• Trains staff on technological changes to equipment and repair techniques.
• Resolves labor relations issues in accordance with labor contracts.
