Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to lead the repair and maintenance of our fleet, manage budgets, and supervise technicians. You will train staff on heavy equipment, manage parts inventory, and coordinate vendor contracts while ensuring safety and efficiency across shifts.

The role requires a 4-year degree or equivalent, 5+ years in supervision, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a 4-year degree or equivalent training and experience in heavy maintenance.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience in automotive/heavy-duty shops.
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability.
• Proficient with maintenance software and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, and parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support.
• Coordinate daily activities of Technicians and ensure safety and productivity.
• Oversee training and development of the team on refrigeration and heavy equipment.
• Maintain staffing, certifications, and a clean shop environment.
• Operate Fleet Assistant to optimize asset utilization.
• Monitor expenses by function and equipment.
• Provide hands-on repairs when required.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and reporting.
