Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Flammability Certification Engineer to join our team in the United States. You will ensure products meet rigorous safety standards and contribute to the certification process for aircraft interiors and components.

Responsibilities include leading technical reviews, authoring training modules, and owning end-to-end certification activities while mentoring other engineers and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive program success.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle standard engineering assignments with finesse, utilizing your expertise to drive impactful solutions and design decisions.
  • Lead the charge in internal technical and design reviews, developing advanced product knowledge and representing our Flammability Certification team with confidence and expertise.
  • Own programs and deliverables end-to-end, plan reports and mitigate risk to project milestones.
  • Compile and check meticulous FAA certification documentation (14CFR25.853, 14CFR25.869, 14CFR25.1713) for submission to OEMs and regulators.
  • Develop and mentor fellow flammability engineers as part of future progression.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
