Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Flammability Engineer II for Collins Aerospace Interiors in Winston-Salem, NC. You will support showing compliance of aircraft interior components to federal standards and help implement interior modifications onto aircraft.

This onsite role involves preparing FAA certification documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with minimum 2 years of relevant aerospace experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future; no immigration sponsorship provided.
• Prior aerospace experience, preferably with aircraft interiors, is required.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Tackle standard engineering assignments with strategic expertise to drive solutions and design decisions.
• Support internal technical and design reviews, representing the Flammability Certification team with confidence.
• Compile FAA certification documentation and ensure seamless submission to OEMs and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership for project success.
