Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Lead Sprinkler Install Technician in California. You will lead installation projects, mentor technicians, interpret blueprints, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in fire and life safety as a technician or above.
• 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Support technicians and apprentices on job sites.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Plan and manage individual or multiple small-scale jobs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Review and complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
