Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Install Superintendent in Pleasanton, CA to oversee multiple installation projects with large crews. You will ensure safety, compliance, and timely execution while actively engaging in fieldwork.

The role requires 9+ years in fire/life safety, with 5+ years in supervision, plus NICET II or CAL FIRE license preferences. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
• At least 5+ years in a supervisory role.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• CAL FIRE Sprinkler Fitter License preferred.
• Strong knowledge of installation practices and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple jobs and/or crews in installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate complex projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technicians, leads, and apprentices.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Manage job site logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve documentation and installation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with customers, leadership, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
