Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring a Sprinkler Install Lead Technician to lead installation projects and mentor field crews across diverse sites. You will interpret blueprints, coordinate small-to-mid size jobs, and ensure safety and code compliance while delivering high-quality installations.

The role requires extensive field experience, leadership ability, and a commitment to training staff on best practices and company standards. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in fire and life safety as a technician or higher.
• At least 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• NICET Level II+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Support technicians and apprentices on job sites.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Plan and manage individual or multiple small‑scale jobs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Review and complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
