Job summary

Total Safety U.S. Inc. in Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Tech IV Fire Technician to inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire protection equipment, including extinguishers, lifesaving gear, detection and suppression systems.

The role requires travel to customer sites, with offshore projects possible, and compliance with safety standards. The candidate must hold a valid driver’s license, TWIC, and Texas Fire Licenses (FAL/FEL), and obtain NICET II within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Texas Fire Licenses (FAL/FEL) required or must be obtained.
• NICET Level II testing within 12 months of hire.
• TWIC card and safety certifications (OSHA 10 etc.).
• Willingness to travel to customer sites including offshore projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment (extinguishers, life safety gear, detection systems, foam and dry chemical systems, etc.).
• Complete documentation for inspections and repairs for invoicing and records.
• Conduct pre-job, job update, and post-job briefs; communicate findings to customers.
