Job summary

Total Safety U.S. Inc. is seeking a Fire Technician II to join our safety-focused team.

The role involves inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection equipment on-site and in the shop, documenting every action for accurate invoicing and records. The position requires knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations, relevant licensing, and the ability to work in both onshore and offshore environments.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and at least two years of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery or related industry.
  • Associate degree in science or technical area strongly preferred.
  • State Fire Licenses or NICET testing may be required; NICET II in two disciplines or NICET III in one discipline preferred.
  • Must pass safety training and may need TWIC card and driver license with DOT endorsement if required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment in shop or field.
  • Complete documentation for inspections and repairs and obtain customer signature for invoicing.
  • Conduct pre-job, in-job, and post-job briefs; load and stage equipment for delivery.
  • Operate safety systems, gas monitors, radios, and other site equipment.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain vehicle and shop safety standards.
  • Possess knowledge of regulatory standards including OSHA, NFPA, CFR if offshore.
