Job summary

City of New Orleans is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Second in Command of the Sewerage and Water Board's Networks Department. The role involves planning, assigning and reviewing the work of the Networks Zone Managers and related engineering support functions, and overseeing operational controls.

The incumbent will establish and monitor management controls for assigned areas and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations applicable to Networks operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction management or related field.
• Six (6) years of experience involving project management, engineering, utility maintenance or related work, with at least two (2) years in supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and review the work of the Networks Zone Managers and related engineering support functions.
• Establish and monitor management controls for assigned operational areas.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to Networks operations.

Education
