Job summary

Sitemetric seeks a Field Tech III to own advanced deployments and mentor a pod of field technicians across multiple construction sites. You’ll deploy and configure IoT sensor systems, manage wireless networks, and ensure real-time data capture for accurate site insights.

You will lead on-site operations, provide technical oversight, and train new hires while upholding Sitemetric standards of quality and safety across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience installing and deploying industrial sensor technologies.
• 3+ years working in construction technology, industrial automation, or similar field deployed technology environments.
• CompTIA A+, Network+ or similar certifications
• OSHA 10 or 30 (Construction Site Safety)
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms and basic understanding of data integration
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and on-site personnel
• Detail orientation and ability to prioritize tasks in dynamic environments
• Reliable means of transportation to the jobsite
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen/background checks)
• Experience with Access Control Systems, Networking (Wired/Wireless), Cameras or IoT devices, Low-voltage systems and structured cabling
• Current license to operate a motor vehicle may be required at some job sites
• Competence with mobile devices, scanners, or tablets in the field

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor Field Tech hires and junior technicians.
• Manage a pod of Field Techs (3–5) with daily assignments, safety, and travel schedules.
• Deploy and install IoT systems including environmental, motion, proximity, BLE, NFC, LTE, RFID devices.
• Configure IoT devices, establish wireless connections, and test system performance.
• Perform on-site maintenance and troubleshoot connectivity and component issues.
• Document field activities and provide timely reports to management.
• Collaborate with enterprise implementation teams and customers for project success.
• Organize daily activities and travel logistics across multiple sites.
