Job summary

Montgomery County is seeking an experienced Professional Surveyor to oversee daily field survey operations supporting roadways and bridges. The role includes supervising crews, managing projects, and coordinating with other county departments to ensure accurate data collection and deliverables.

The position requires developing boundary plats, legal descriptions for ROW, and producing reports and maps with GPS and CAD tools. Licensure as a Professional Surveyor or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying or related field.
• 6 years related work experience.
• Registered Professional Surveyor, or eligible to be licensed after Fundamentals of Surveying exam.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field survey operations for the county.
• Supervise survey field crews and ensure quality and methodology.
• Oversee and manage complex survey projects and coordinate with departments.
• Develop boundary/centerline plats for easements and right-of-way.
• Prepare plats, legal descriptions, reports, and maps using GPS and CAD.
