Job summary

Corporate Environmental Risk Management, L.L.C. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey teams performing topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys.

You will plan daily work, oversee equipment use, and ensure data quality across multiple sites. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in land or construction surveying, proficiency with total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, plus a solid grasp of safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal surveying training or certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of land or construction surveying with leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments: total stations, GPS, data collectors.
• Strong surveying principles, math, and construction terminology.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites in the U.S.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center or similar.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and site protocols.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise survey crews in field operations (topographic, boundary, construction staking).
• Plan daily schedules, assign tasks, and maintain equipment.
• Interpret plans, blueprints, and legal descriptions to guide surveys.
• Collect, record, and verify survey data with precision and safety.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders on progress and issues.
• Train and mentor junior surveyors to maintain high performance.
• Prepare field notes and reports to support project requirements and compliance.
