Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Field Crew Chief to lead field survey crews, oversee on-site data collection and staking, and ensure safety and quality on schedule. This hands-on leadership role requires strong technical surveying skills, crew management experience, and good judgment in the field.

Responsibilities include planning surveys (boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS, construction staking), operating total stations and GNSS, maintaining field notes, data transfers to CAD/GIS, and enforcing OSHA safety

Responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks, manage crew schedules, and ensure efficient field workflows.
• Train new crew on equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Represent CSE PC on client sites with professional conduct.
• Plan and execute boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and route surveys.
• Set up and operate surveying instruments: total stations, GNSS, levels.
• Perform precise measurements, control traverses, and establish survey control.
• Prepare field notes and sketches; transfer data to CAD/GIS staff.
• Enforce OSHA safety policies; conduct toolbox talks and pre-job briefings.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field equipment; coordinate repairs.
• Complete time sheets, equipment logs, and field reports on time.
